Hi

Any help is gratefully received as this is our first time in Orlando with a toddler and .

We will be at WBC for a week in June. Arriving probably around 6pm depending on flights. I could do with some advice on which tower to request. I know it is not guaranteed but I thought there is no harm in asking.

Here are my questions:

1. Which towers have the nicest 1br deluxes - i.e. most recently refurbished?
2. Which view should we ask for if we are not bothered about fireworks
3. What is wrong with being on the first floor (I have seen a few posters saying it is not good)
4. Which pool (and tower) is probably best for our son (he is 15mths old and loves swimming)?
5. What do people do with their strollers? Do you take them to your room or are they left outside?

Any other tips on WBC are gratefully received

I have not stayed here yet, so I don't know about views or towers. What I can answer is the first floor is usually undesired because of the lack of privacy with foot traffic. Others like it because there is no need for stairs or elevators. And as for the strollers you should bring yours into the room. Otherwise it might not be there when you get back. The rooms are large so there will be plenty of room to park it inside. Have a great time!

Thanks for the reply. So first floor is actually on the ground? OK - it is what we would call ground floor in the UK. Now I get it!

Some other things that may help....

There are Zero Entry pools at Tower 5, 6, and the Main Building.

there are kid splash areas at the pools at Tower 3 and the Main Building.

The 2 Lazy Rivers are located at Tower 5 and the Main Building.

There is a playground between Tower 1 and the Main Building area.

i BELIEVE that the Main Building and Tower 6 are the 2 salt water pools, which may also be something for you.

As for refurbs, Towers 1-3 went thru refurbs last year. Tower 6 is the newest tower, and Towers 4 and 5 have been going thru a mini-refurb over the past year as they've been replacing damaged furniture in the rooms as replacements have been made available.

As for which tower to request, I'd say it's a personal preference which you could base partcially on the information I've provided above. As for the View, I'd suggest just a "Lake/Pool" view. The Fireworks views I personally don't feel are worth it because of the distance to the EPCOT park where they come from, the lack of piped in music from the park, and the fact that the fireworks only happen once per day vs. a pool/lake view you could enjoy all day long.

And as for people not liking the first floor (yes, the Ground Floor), the other factors beyond what was already mentioned that comes into play for some is that the lower floors are more likely to be forced to deal with noise from the nearby pools... and/or there also being an increased chance of certain outside critters being able to access the room if you leave the patio door open.
