WBC ebay seller 6563william: BEWARE!!!

has anyone purchased/rented a Wyndham Bonnet Creek unit via "6563william" on ebay?

He has several listings on ebay for WBC for Christmas.
I am not saying he is a scammer...BUT, I emailed him twice and he responded about one of his stays. So, I went ahead and purchased a seven-night visit for a 2-bedroom unit.
About five minutes later, he emails and says he canceled my sale. It was a "duplicate post that ebay did not catch".
Not sure why he would not have noticed it when responding to me about the potential sale, but he did not. Not sure of any advantage to him.
Of course, my bank account was immediately drafted. The bad news is that I will not get the money back for three to five business days.
So, I am out they money and have no where to stay for a trip that was supposed to start on Monday.

I have never made a travel type purchase on eBay, but I have purchased many other items. I have had sellers cancel and refund auctions either because of duplicate listings, or erroneous listings (incorrect amount, in that instance). So, it is not unheard of, and may have been a legitimate error. eBay is supposed to catch errors like that, and he may not have known it was a duplicate until he tried to put a different name on it.

It sounds like the seller refunded your auction cost, and the money you are "out" is due to rules set up by your bank, not the seller. So, I'm not sure it's fair to label him a possible scammer and put "BEWARE" next to his name.

It was just bad luck from a series of errors. It made you miss out on a place to stay, but doesn't sound intentional.
