Hello. My daughter turns 5 in May and about a week later we'll be going on our first trip WDW. I've booked a session at BBB and want to find a unique way to present this part of the gift for her on her actual birthday. Any ideas?

How about an invitation in the mail from her favorite princess inviting her to a royal makeover at BBB? You could send it with a princess dress and/or tiara!?!

I made an invitation for a friend's daughter and sent it from Cinderella.

Obviously, they are doing CRT too, but you get the point!!!:rotfl:

wow that is such a lovely idea!

I am hoping to book BBB for DBF's niece (4) for our trip in July.. and I think I might borrow this idea! It's her first ever trip to wdw too princess:

On our last trip I picked up some extra postcards & I plan to send her one every few weeks while we countdown to the vacation.. they are written in my best 'walt disney' hand-writing and signed from Mickey & Minnie!

I hope she believes they are from the famous mice ... ;)

I did this for my niece for her trip last fall. I had "Tinkerbelle" leave the dress, wand, shoes and crown with the invitation at the end of her bed. "Tinkerbelle" arrived after she was asleep for the night. I also did invitations which Tink left for all of our character dinners.

I love the idea. Thanks. I think I will buy her her princess dress to wrap so she has something to open. I thought the princess-do came with a tiara? If it does, I rather not buy another one (as they already have plenty in their dress-up bin). Maybe I could get some "glass slippers" as well. I hope she likes this.

If she chooses the hair in a bun it comes with a tiara. If she chooses the one with hair extensions it doesn't. DN chose "long princess hair". I bought everything ahead of time at our local Disney Store. As I recall it was less than $30 for everything.

If you go to the Creative DISigns thread, many of the designers make BBB invitations. I did one for DD last year. (as well as for all our princess meals). While she was sleeping I would "slip it under the door" and voila! Disney magic!

Definitely bring your own dress. The dresses they sell are very scratchy for most kiddos. I wouldn't do glass slippers unless you are planning on only wearing them while in the salon- which is only about 20 minutes. Comfy shoes at Disney is KEY!

Did this for both of my girls on our last trip, also gave them invitations (that gave them hints to what we were going to do), and an outfit from Costco/Disneystore. The outfits were very high quality, and it saved my a bundle! They had so much fun guessing from the time that they got the invitation (2 months) to the time we got to DTD. What a great memory, it makes me smile just remembering it!
