ways to find out wait times?

Are there any ways to find out how long wait times are at the parks while you are one side of the park. For example, if I was at Space Mtn, is there a way to find out the wait time for Splash Mtn without walking all the way over there. So, are there any ways to do this at all? Pal Mickey? Wireless technology?

Each park has estimated time boards at some centralized location. They are usually pretty up to date too from what I've seen. I don't know of another way to find out.

I know that we asked a CM in AK near Asia about Dinosaur and she called the times board people and got the wait time for us which was really nice since we were so hot that we were melting and walking all that way to find an hour wait would have pushed me over the edge ;)

So where are these boards in each park?

I have seen the boards at MGM and AK (like chalk boards) and the electronic (?) one at Epcot... I have yet to see one at MK. Where is the one at MK?

The board at MK is down near the hub on the left side at the end of Main Street, almost in front of the Crystal Palace.

sunking has mentioned the MK board location. Epcot's is in the middle of Future World right before the fountain. MGM's is down on the right at the intersection of Sunset and Hollywood Blvds. As for AK's... I can't remember even though I've seen it. You might ask as you enter the park if no one here mentions the location.

The board at AK is at the foot of the bridge as you enter in the main area of the park on the right, across from the Pin Trading Station.

Thanks so much! I didn't know about these!!!

Ah, no wonder I've never seen it- we never walk by there! I swear this last trip when we had our first ever PS at CP was the first time we'd walked down that way! We usually head straight to Fantasyland or Tomorrowland and never cross over right in front of CP- we always go through land to land and back around again. LOL

It's actually on Main Street. If you walk past Caseys, cross the walkway to CP, it's right there on that corner. Kind of across from the Plaza Ice Cream store. If you were walking towards the castle on Main Street, you would have to look to your left.

I wish they had more of them around the parks.

If you have a cell phone with wireless internet connection, you can check wait times from the following webpage.

Pocketdisney

Right now you can check by attraction or by the 3 shortest wait times for each park. Plus you can submit wait times. This is fairly new so sometimes there might not be any wait times submitted. I am sure that once more people find out about it, more times will be submitted.

If you don't want to return to the center of a park approach a CM and ask. SM was down during an evening EMH. We asked the gatekeeper CM when it would open - 20 minutes. We began discussing among ourselves the merits of SplashMtn and coming back, or stay in Frontierland for BTMRR. The CM interrupts to tell us, ask over there before coming back to Tomorrowland. They'll know or can find out quickly.

Do hunt down the boards though. The board minder CMs are some of the best.
