We came back from 10 days at disney on Feb.5th and what was supposed to be a once in a life time trip for us has turned into a Disney obcession for "moi". So what now? How do I convince my DH to take me back before my AP expires in Jan.2006? I am the only one in the family who has the AP (for discount purposes) but we are a family of 4 still.
Help, I want to return in November and I'm not sure he wants to do it again so soon and spend the money (money always a factor) but I want to stay at WL again too :)
Any suggestions :confused3

Your kids are cute....whisper subliminal messages to them while they are sleeping :rotfl:

In the same situation too so I'll be watching the posts for ideas for myself...failing that, I'll go with you! :cool1:

We haven't even gone yet and I'm already trying to think of ways to do it.

I agree with the above poster - use your kids. When you hear his car in the driveway, start talking to them about Disney - then when he walks in they will be raving about how much fun they had.

Leave the picture album lying around so he can be reminded how much fun you had.

If that fails - whine. I find that works very well with my hubby - he'll do anything to shut me up :rotfl:

Then be practical, price it all out - maybe go to a cheaper hotel than before. Point out how much fun the Christmas Celebration can be at Disney. Tell him in lieu of any presents for the holidays you would like to go back in December.

Then of course - resort back to the whining :rotfl2:

Does he like golf? If so, maybe you could set him up with a round or two at one of the WDW course. I'm not sure about the price, but I'd wager it would add to the $$ issue.

lol, I'm also in the same position. We have AP's for USF/IOA and it seems a shame not to use them again. DH enjoys it but likes to go to other places as well. It seems my DD and her BF (who live in a different province) would love to join us on our next trip since it would be cheap for them. I can get a 3 bdrm condo and rent a van so they won't have that expense. I'm going to go that route with DH, lol. Every once in awhile, I drop a comment like...wow, we can still get the condo for the same price next year...he hasn't taken the bait yet but I'm still trying :)

I am going to try the photo's...but I have to watch it with the kids because I don't want to get "their" hopes up and then not go--he might be mad if I use them too much and get them all excited for nothing.

No golf her--My husband likes to Rock Climb and would just assume spend the money on new ski's and a few days in the mountains than go back to Disney...skiing sounds great ....For next year!

I'll keep you posted Sandy!

I tell my husband that he's 'hot' when he talks about Disney. :rotfl2:

This started when I bought a nice fitted t-shirt at the World of Disney store in NYC that's got Mickey holding up a sparkly mustard covered hot dog (to go along with the NYC vibe). My husband made some off-color remark about the picture and I played along.

There are ways to reward good behavior and talking about Disney, planning trips and following through on the trips receive positive rewards. :rotfl:

We're now planning our second trip in six months since I started this new 'training' program. Seems to be a very effective method.

go without him!

DS13 & I are very much looking forward to our first mother/son 2wk WDW vacation this August!

HEY! Husbands read this too. Enough with the "whining" suggestion!
The kids and I are willing to go WDW anytime. It's all we can do to drag mom there once a year. Try renting a house. It's cheaper. It gets you a sometimes needed break from all things Disney. And, if one or more don't want to go back to the parks in the evening it's not as bad staying at the house, with its own swimming pool, comfy couch etc.
Remember, no whining. :love2:
