Way to go Geraldo

I'm not a big fan of Geraldo (remember he gave away troop positions in Iraq), he is a pretty good doggone reporter. He's almost been shot twice (in Afghanistan and Iraq) and he's done a good job here in NO. If only he could just keep his opinions out of his reporting.

In addition, Fox News has clearly done a better job than the other two cable stations (and that's coming from someone who watches all of the news channels, I like a well-rounded news report.) Fox is reporting on the bad, but also the good while many of the other stations are harping on the delayed response. Fox is saving lives. But the media on the whole, I think, is doing a good job reporting on the worst national disaster in the nation's history.

Anybody know what happened to Shepard Smith? I haven't seen him since late yesterday morning. Maybe they sent him back. :confused3

I was wondering the same thing. I have a feeling they thought he couldn't take too much more and pulled him. I wish he had of been there when things started going better because the last time I saw him he sounded so defeated.

I agree. He sounded hoarse when he was on yesterday morning. It was obviously getting to him. I wish he had been there to witness things getting better too.

Florita's story was just replayed on Fox. A family in Ohio has offered to take her in.

Maybe he became a little too impartial for Fox News. He took on O'Reilly and Hannity pretty good the other night.

I hope that's not the case because if it weren't for him and Geraldo, I'd still say Fox News was nothing much more than garbage. As it is, I've pushed them up a small notch over their coverage of the hurricane.

Actually now that I think about it, a couple of other guys that were there early on with Shep are not there anymore either. Maybe they just changed out the crews.

I didn't realize that. Could you tell us all why? :confused3

Disclosing troop movements and locations for starters (he was kicked out of Iraq for that). Overall arrogance and smarminess.

But count me as one who will give him kudo's for this gesture!

Geraldo was just on Hannity and Colmes and gave an update on Florita and Dusty. He said she was in a 4H shelter here in Atlanta and Dusty and that both she and Dusty are fine. Apparently he is getting a lot of emails about them.
