Way Early I know but anyone going on Eastern May 1-8 2004?

YUM-MY!!! So please tell me Jason that they have these on the ship?? and just how good are they? I had one this past weekend to die for.....

:sunny:

I have found out through much trial and error that Heidi on Gin and Tonic makes her brain go nutso! Kind of like me on Dental anesthetic  The Las Vegas trip...lets just say I did a few things on Gin and Tonic that thankfully no one knew who I was or I would have to hide my head in shame! LOL *and no nothing THAT bad but just so not me*

As for a chocolate martini..what the heck are those???? Ryan loves martini's but I dont know if he's heard of chocolate ones! He is also a chocoholic so that might not be good on second though! LOL

Heidi

well, I can see that I won't be able to keep up with you wild partiers!!!!! I had a glass of wine (ONE GLASS) with dinner the other night and dh was laughing at me because my cheeks turned bright red. Just can't hold my booze like I used to, I guess, lol

I do plan on partaking of the daily drink specials though. (on our non-disney cruise two years ago, I developed a fondness for Rum Runners and Bahama Mamas!!!) Nothing like a tropical drink in the middle of the ocean to remind you that you are really ON VACATION!!!!!

And Jason, please explain today's countdown picture, my limited brain just doesn't get it!!

Linda

LOL Linda...wine does that to me too! Of course I'm getting more accomplished at drinking Gin and Tonic but I still get crazy and stupid! LOL

I LOVE Bahama Mama's and Alabama Slammers (boy is the wild side of me ever coming out in this thread?) but dont tell my family..they think I am a "good girl"! LOL

As for the countdown I would imagine it is because Old Man and the Sea was published in 1952?

Definetly like Linda's daily drink special idea!! And they all sound delicious!!!!

Heidi - chocolate martini= vodka, chocolate liquor (like Godiva). Thats it! Although I have had it made with a tad of baileys. Yum-my! Ryan would love it if he loves martini's AND chocolate!!!
And too funny about Vegas!! You know, you've probably conjured up some WILD images in our minds!!! lol...

:p

Thanks Heidi, I knew it had to be something simple like that, just couldn't wrap my mind around it.

Funny little story, my mom (who will be cruising with us) went to her doctor the other day, and she asked her doctor (a younger female doctor) if it would be okay if she had an occasional cocktail while on the cruise, or if it would interfere with her medication or not, and her doctor said (no lie) "you go girl, have the time of your life!!!" Mom thought that was very strange of her doctor to be talking that way, but she is glad to know it is okay to be partaking in the tropical drinks also. My dh is a beer drinker, but he did have a couple Rum Runners on the last cruise, so he might even join in!! (I think he is more looking forward to all the awesome meals every night)

LInda

Ahhh... The chocolate martini! Yes, they do have them (and anything else you can dream up) on the ship Tracey and they are quite yummy. They use Godiva chocolate liqueur. Only the best on DCL! :)

I'm actually not too fond of really strong drinks but this is one I can usually take. Although there have been many times when Travis has had to finish them for me.

Linda--

I usually don't drink often either. But, when on vacation, one might as well live it up, eh? :) I prefer those, how do you say, fu-fu drinks: margaritas, daiquiris, Konch Koolers, etc. Those and wine. Especially the champagne family!

As for the countdown...

I'll post the answer later this afternoon. I have a strong feeling someone will come up with the answer! :)

Oh man..I dont think I had better give Ryan that recipe! In Utah the state controls the liquor so they tax the crap out of it and it costs almost twice what it does in other states. We bought alcohol in Vegas (yeah and brought it across state lines LOL) and we got almost double the amount there that we get here so my alcohol bill cant afford any more than we are doing now! LOL My oh my do we sound like we need AA! We really arent drunks..just like drinking! And only drink on the weekends (otherwise the pounds are too hard to get rid of..learned THAT the hard way lately!)

As for Vegas...one day I will have to tell you what I did..maybe on the LAST day of the cruise! That way I wont have to see all of you in person again! LOL It really wasnt that bad..let's just say it cost me a little bit of money for a new clothing item and leave it at that! LOL

Heidi

Well this bunch is looking like fun! I'm a huge martini fan, it's my signature drink! I prefer a vodka martini..... (shaken, not stirred of course, you're talking to a huge 007 fan) But I do like many other drinks.... I'm sure you'll see the two of us walking around with glasses of champagne in our hands, and plenty of other tasty drinks! ::yes:: I can't wait. I need to win the lotto, so I can just live on that ship.....

Oh don't get me started on the Martini's - Sour Apple Martini's with Midori are dangerous. The last time I drank them I made prank phone calls to my DDs. Chocolate are very good also.

Thanks for the info Belle's dad, I e-mailed them awhile ago and they never responded so I'll try again, at that price what a deal. Looking forward to meeting you all.

I have to run Linds to B-ball practice so she's nagging me to get going, talk to you soon.

Alice

Thanks for the laugh Alice!!! That is tooo funny!!!

See now Heidi, you've got us all in suspense!!! lol... I must admit, even with the hint, I have no idea!! Streaking??? lol...

Travis - if you win the lotto, of course you'll share will all of us, right??

Thumbs up to Fu-Fu drinks - good wording Jason!

Another day down... and the countdown continues!!!!

:bounce:

Oh goodie...I got Tracy envisioning me doing a Will Farrell impersonation of streaking like in Old School...WOOHOO!!!

We're streakin' We're Streakin' LOL

Here's another clue...it involved a trip to Victoria's Secret after a Tom Jones Concert where we sat SECOND row! But it isnt the normal article of clothing! Think double sided! LOLOLOLOLOL....

Linda---Your story about your mom and her doc saying "you go girl" was hilarious!!!

Alice...you never stop cracking me up!! And Ryan would be in GREAT company with you!!!

Off to fix dinner

Heidi

Oopss wait, maybe not.. The double-sided throws me off...Nonetheless - I'm sure Tom loved it!! lol!!!!!!

Oh, and Old School was HILARIOUS!!! I love that Will Farrell, he's such a crack-up!!

Off to drag DS off Playstation!

Ok Tracy you wore me down....

I hucked my bra up on stage during the Tom Jones concert and got a wink and a nod and a smile from him...needless to say it was my MIRACLE BRA (and what a miracle it was) so I had to go get another one....

LOL..hence the double sided..one for each of those "puppies"

And Will Farrell in Starsky and Hutch is absolutely HILARIOUS! I think everything he does is awesome!!

Off to EAT my dinner! Man is this getting addicting!

Heidi

Hey threecircles can I take a guess on what your Old Man and The Sea countdown clue is? I know that I am not going on the May 1st sailing -- I am going on the May 8th one though -- but I find this thread very entertaining and love reading it. I will not post my guess until I get the OK.:p :wave2:

Seeing as this is my all time favorite book -- not to mention the only book I have read more than once; actually five times since 1980 -- I think I have an unfair advantage. The book was first published in 1952. So, is this what you were going for?:)

Hey goofyguy stop cheating off of my paper!!! LOL

I already guessed that see....

As for the countdown I would imagine it is because Old Man and the Sea was published in 1952?

HEHE!!! If that's it I win I win and goofy stop cheating! LOL JUST KIDDING!!!

Heidi off to watch my hottie Simon Cowell on American Idol and get drunk!! Watch out if I post later.....who knows what may come off my keyboard next! LOL I'm sure you're all waiting with baited breath!!:teeth:

Well, seeing as it's your favorite book, I would expect that you would have the correct answer! And yes, that's what I was going for! :) 1952 for 52 days until the May 1st Cruise!

Great job, BTW. ;)

Heidi--

Silly me! I didn't even see your guess! It seems that the thread got crazy-wild with all sorts of new posts and I missed it!

You both get 100 points! :teeth:

Hey Belle and Rella's Dad,

How did you come across the code you used for the discount? Do you think it is one anyone can use?

Nice thread Tracey, I don't know how I missed that one :D

We'll have to try to do a collective trip report - I have a feeling THAT will be entertaining:teeth:

Our group has created a Disney Magic May 1st Cruise site at ThreeCircles.net

That is very generous of you to say "our group" when in fact it was you, you, you! You are the one responsible for bringing all of us together before our toes even touch the sand. I was excited about the trip before, now I'm ecstatic about meeting all these great fun loving people too. Thank you Jason!

And the Heidimiester for getting the thread rolling :rotfl: in more ways than one;)

Ok I have to go now, I can't stand myself when I get all mushy.

Oh Heidi I have to go to the dentist tomorrow, if you want to come along (we could send subliminal death threats his way:tongue: )
