I am SO far behind in my albums that I don't even want to take pictures next week @ AK, EPCOT & MK!

I need motivation to catch up. Any ideas how I can catch up? :chat:

It's tough to get anything done during the day w/ 2 preschoolers.

I'm way behind also and I just keep saying one of these days I'll catch up before I'm in the nursing home..............:)
Maybe you could ask your DH to watch the girls and go to a crop that always help me get alot done.

Good Luck and don't feel so back our last trip to WDW was in 2001 and I just finished the books (2) this past spring. We go back next month and I'm not going to take as many picture this time.

I have a 4 year old and almost a 3 year old and it is tough. They both take good naps so one day a week while they are napping I sit down and crop. I also will crop when they are sleeping from about 9 to 10:30 at night.( If it gets too late my work looks sloppy). If I'm making an album for my business I start after dinner and my husband has to watch the kids because this is how I make spending money for the family. So that is my work time. If I have a deadline and I'm running out of time and need to work during the day I tell them that mommy has to work and give them stickers, paper, markers so they can do some work as well as watch a good movie.

Cropping with a friend helps me get the most done, my friend came over a couple Fridays ago right before my son's bedtime (8:30) and we got so much doen between then and 11 p.m. (just couldnt make it ' till midnight:faint:

Have you seen the CM Power Layout box? That helped me get my cruise photos organized in no time-- and really, organizing is half the battle! It's a simple concept but it really works, (You might make one yourself with a clean pizza box and sturdy cardstock). If you at least have things organized when you leave for your trip, you will at least feel like it's not totally hopeless to catch up when you get home!

I understand and feel for you! I think we all feel like that! I was definately picture happy this summer and used more film than ever! I just kept seeing these great layouts! Now the hard part packs and packs of film!
I just say to my self this is a hobby and I want it to be fun. The pictures will always be there to work...and with that I am looking into digital so I can snap away and print only the ones I want to scrap! I never dreamed I would say or want to do that I was a firm believer I needed the hard copy in hand to make it worth my while!
Good luck!
Take lots of pictures on your vacation and when you get back work on those first then work on the other stuff!

My SIL got caught up by promising herself to crop one 2-page spread a night after her 3 kids (all under 5) went to bed. I believe it was an 8 or 8:30 bedtime. Anyway, she sometimes got more done when she was feeling really creative. And she did get caught up eventually. I think it would be a nice way to unwind at night. I'm always too drained to be very creative at that time though.

I am in the same boat and I have decided to stop spending so much time on each page. Simple and done is what I'm aiming for now. Good luck with all of your projects.

I like the idea of doing at least 2 pages everynight. Once you get going, who can stop at 2?

When I first started I thought I had a lot of catching up to do. But now I enjoy the "process" of scrapbooking so much that I don't worry about "just getting them in the albums " . I take my time and scrap , take a break, switch albums , work on swaps, talk scrap with my Disboard friends, etc. Whatever works at the time . Now that pressure to finish is not there and I feel as if I do better quality work and I'm a lot happier.

I'm so far behind it isn't even funny!

For me, the biggest thing that keeps me from stressing is I keep my pictures in date order in boxes, and make sure I add any notes to explain things I might forget at a latter date - like which twin is which. My friend, a former CM consultant, keeps her pics by month in large envelopes with all the memrobilia for the month.

Some year I'll catch up. Maybe when my 3 dds are bigger and I'm not taking so many pics of them. Of course if we didn't go to WDW so often that would help too - LOL!
