Waverunner Eco Tour questions

I made a reservation for my son (9) and myself to do this on Castaway Cay and have a few questions:

Is it necessary to have water sandals with back straps or would the flip flip style be okay (and stay on) during this excursion?

Is there a hook or compartment to put a bag with our "stuff" or is there someone onshore to leave it?

Did you get really wet, or just a bit of spray? (We don't mind getting wet, it just helps me plan if I know what to expect.)

Anything you wish you had known beforehand or, in retrospect, that you had done differently, or any helpful hints or info, particularly useful for a parent and child riding together?

Thanks for your help! :flower:

I think flip-flops would fly off. Plan on getting a little wet - mostly from spray. I have to say, this was the best thing I've done on any cruise. I LOVED IT!

If you're booked on the morning eco-tour, you will get wet at the sandbar stop (in the mornings, the sandbar is still underwater...later in the day, it is dry.)

They offer a chest onshore (next to where you check-in) to store your gear during the excursion.

Enjoy the trip. It is a great excursion! :cool1:

I am interested in this excursion also...I hope you don't mind me jumping on here. When can you sign up for this excursion? It is not listed on my excursion sheet. I think it was introduced after I got my list of excursions, and if I remember correctly, you could only sign up once onboard the ship because it was new. Can you sign up for this ahead of time now, or is it still only once you board the ship? Thanks!

you can sign up in advance - we signed up 60 days in advance of our Nov 2005 cruise - not sure when you got your excursion list, but it should be on there since this has been an excursion for roughly a year or so I think

thanks ivanova ~ we booked the cruise in March of 2004. The excursion list I have is dated 12/03. We were just looking at it the other day trying to figure out what we wanted to do. DD8, DH and DD15 are also interested in parasailing. Has anyone done both the parasailing and the waverunner excursions? Does it take up too much time?
