Wave Runner rental @ Castaway Cay

We are on the Dream for the August 7th, 2017 cruise. My 17 year old would really like to rent a Wave Runner. I know officially it is 18 and above but what does Disney do for ID checks. Is there any wiggle room? I appreciate the input.

You won't be able to book it for the child. The system will not show them as eligible.

They will let your 17 year old drive one, but someone over 18 has to ride with him. We are in the same boat- our son is 17 as well. They have signs posted that say this at the rental place. They do check ID's. I wish it was 16 and up!

Do they offer single rider waver runner? All I could find was double available
