We'd like to do a monorail resort dinner before MSEP. We have an ADR for California Grill later in the week to celebrate my brother's birthday. The Wave's menu looks very appealing to me but I've enjoyed a meal at the GF Cafe before and we would visiting a different resort and only 1 stop away from MK where we need to end up. Would appreciate recommendations from anyone who has eaten at these restaurants recently. Thanks!

we have eaten at the wave and i thought the food was ok. i would not be rushing over there again but would not avoid it also. if i had a choice i think i would go to the gfc instead

The Wave was one our best meals on our trip last xmas week. we booked it last minute(called from wdw). the food is delicious, cool decor and great service. The best no sugar-added dessert trio!!! DH liked mine better than his. I would definitely return...its great!

I second the vote for the Wave. We went there for the second time on our trip last month, and as the pp said, we scheduled our ADR last minute and it was our favorite meal of the trip! I got the pork and DH got the seafood pasta dish. We both got the same dessert (can't remember what trio), but it was delicious!

i'd choose the wave. we had a delicious meal in december with great service. two years ago during my boyfriend's first trip as an adult we did grand floridian cafe. honestly we can't remember a thing about it, other than we didn't want to go back.

Thanks for the feedback. I am still undecided. I am also considering cancelling my Ohana ADR based on uneven reviews but it used to be a family favourite for our WDW kick-off night. If I cancel it then I will replace it with one of these restaurants.

The Wave has been quite good for us both food and service. GF Cafe is totally indifferent food and service. Just a basic food place like you'd find in any hotel anywhere.

I love the GF Cafe. The setting of the GF can't be beat and the steaks we had were perfect as was the service. I have not dined at the Wave so cannot comment on it.
