waterview at CSR

i just booked CSR for may, i could only get a CAA rate for a waterview room, but since it was still cheaper than no discount on a reg room i took it. i have stayed at CSR before and i love it, but am wondering what i can expect for a waterview . last trip there i was upgraded at no charge to a waterview room in the cabanas. are most of the waterview rooms in the cabanas? Or is there a chance of getting a fountain view from the casistas instead? i don't want to stay in the ranchos and can't remember if any of these rooms would qualify as waterview? so...for those who have booked waterview here, which buildings were you in?

We had a waterview in the Cabanas 9B. The view was of the pond on the right as you enter CSR. Not the waterview I was expecting.

WE stayed in Casitas 4 I believe and looked out onto the lake. It was gorgeous every morning and every night! We had the best view on our floor. All the rooms around us either had a tree or a pillar in the way of their window. We had a wonderful honeymoon upgrade! We felt some of the rooms that looked ovber the fountains in this area would be really nice too!

We have stayed in the Casitas twice and absolutely love it! We actually have a favorite room that we like to stay in every time and it's a waterview. Here take a look at the room as well as the view outside of the window.

And if you get a third floor water view in the Casitas, here is what your view could look like. I took this from a third floor

thank you for the speedy feedback sorry you were a little dissappointed with your view dizkidz2.
i am really hoping for a room in the casitas as i have not stayed there yet, thank you for the great pictures Kimickey sounds like you and DisneyJen had the better views. when it gets a little closer i think i will put in a request for casitas, although i know it isn't a gaurantee.
so...is it safe to assume i won't get a ranchos room?

Hi there,

We recently returned from CSR and had a gorgeous view of El Centro across the lake and the bridge from Cabanas 8A, rms 8229 and 8230 (connecting).

You may still get assigned Ranchos with a view of the quiet pool, as I think pool view is included in "water" view. Although we loved where we stayed, I really liked the theming in the Ranchos section, particularly their pool. Yes, it would be a hike to El Centro, but considering we were really disappointed with the food/service at Pepper Market, we probably won't be heading down there much when we go back, so I'm aiming for Ranchos.

My suggestion is to make your requests on your reservation for a particular Bldg or section, and then just be prepared to be flexible when you check in, or as the CM we had said "work with me here, and we'll get something you'll be happy with".

If I'm not mistaken there is a difference between lagoon view and water view. Buzz or someone else might be able to correct me on this. I think water view includes the small side ponds and lagoon view is the main lagoon in the center.

Just returned from CSR. Our waterview was of the quiet pool from Ranchos 6B. Suprisingly, enjoyed our stay here. In April had a waterview of the lagoon/lake from Cabanas 8B. Liked the lagoon view better. Ranchos was very convenient the big pool. Would stay in either again.

thanks for the feedback disfan, so i guess there is a possibility i could get a ranchos room...when it gets closer i will request something nearer to El Centro and hope for the best. this trip is a solo one and the ranchos just seem to be a little far to be roaming around to at night alone.
cajunwdwfan-i think waterview includes both lagoon and pool view, i think it's just a matter of luck, but i could be wrong.
connorsmom-glad you had such a nice view. the pepper market isn't a favorite of mine either, but i liked it as well as any of the other foodcourts i've tried, and i do like to use my refillable mug.
