Waterside at Disney Springs

Where is a good place to get waterside seating at Disney Springs? We haven't been to DS at night and I want a great view during dinner for my DH and our 2 DS's (10 and 8). I've seen the photos of The Boathouse and it looks wonderful. Is it fairly easy to ask to wait for outside seating? Trip is for early May '17. Thanks for suggestions!

Your kids will LOVE the vintage boats on display.

Lately, we stop in without a reservation and sit on the patio furniture out on the boat docks. We like to grab a bucket or two of fried fish and some drinks while the kids roam around looking at the boats. Very casual and relaxing atmosphere.
