Waterproof wallets

I was wondering about where people keep their cash/KTTW card when they get off the ship for an excursion. We are cruising in June and we are doing a couple of excursions that will involve getting wet and I don't want to just stick the card loosely in my pocket. I was just wondering what people have used in the past. I know the one place does have lockers for rent while you are there.

Any help would be appreciated

KTTW cards, as well as credit cards can get wet. As can cash. My husband just puts his in a pocket in his swim trunks (zips close). I use a time-honored place of concealment for us ladies in my swim suit top. Works for us.

There are dive lanyards you can purchase with a waterproof case on them.

We got these for each of us, works great, no leaking, tied it to something or wore around my neck on the beach. Comes in a ton of different colors.

I tie the lanyard to the 'string' of my bathing suit, or a belt loop or 'something else' and stuff the holder in a pocket most of the time, and INSIDE when swimming so it won't float away.

bought both on DCL . . . red has Castaway logo (bought on CC obviously), blue has DCL logo

still sold ... commonly seen in beach stores, surf shops, dive shops ...

My small (blue) one easily holds a ship key card, a credit card, and a photo ID and a few folded bills. The larger red one can hold up to the size of a pack of cig's ... I don't smoke, but if you want to carry more it is available.

same here - and it was the best $4.00 "souvenir" we purchased in 1999. And ours too is still going strong. Its been in the Caribbean, Atlantic, Mediterranean, Pacific, Sea of Cortez. But it will NOT go into the waters in Alaska (I sail with some big sissy's that won't snorkel in Ketchikan!! - even though the Japan Current is "Warm" - it's cooled off a lot by the time it hits Oregon)

After our recent cruise, we headed over to the gulf for a few days at Clearwater Beach.

My husband had one of the waterproof ziploc type pouches for his wallet/keys/cell phone.

I would strongly suggest you test your waterproof container at home with something like kleenex before putting a cellphone and wallet, then swimming in the ocean for two hours.

That was an expensive beach day!

As @PrincessShmoo said, the card can get wet, as can the cash. My swimsuit has a zippered cargo pocket and I just put card/cash in there. I know some ppl claim that salt water will ruin the card, but it has never happened to me after five cruises. And vendors don't care if your cash is soggy.

For stuff that can't get wet and won't fit in those things around your neck, and for places that may not have lockers, I had been looking at this:
