Waterproof Walking Sandals?

I have been thinking about shoes for summer theme park touring. Because we'll probably be riding a lot of the rides that you get wet on (WDW and Universal), wearing shoes and socks would be miserable. Can someone recommend a good waterproof walking sandal?

I just bought myself a pair of crocs. We leave in 2 days so I will let you know how they are! A lot of people on this board recommend them.

Crocs are really good for drying out quickly. Be aware some people do prefer them with socks (which could ruin the "waterproof-ness" of them). Really most sandals that don't have suede on them will probably be fine, but particularly ones with rubber soles and thin fabric straps (or plastic straps if you can deal with them) will be best. I know I'm being quite vague, sorry lol.

ETA: figured since my post was so vague I'd post the shoes I've worn to the parks before.

Crocs: beach/cayman style (can never remember which ones they are), sometimes with socks
Disney crocs, again, sometimes with socks
Croc-off flip flops obviously without socks, but can get kind of slippery when wet (between your foot and the shoe; not so much between the shoe and th ground)
Nike Celso flip flops were super comfy
and those are all I can remember off the top of my head. :)

I bought a pair of teva terra-fi sandals...wore them to 2 local theme parks for the whole day.Not one pain, and they dried fast.Love THEM.

Here's an opinion from someone with bad feet...crocs are great for short walks, but not all day in the park...just not enough support for my flat feet. The best waterproof sandal PERIOD! is KEEN. You can get them in waterproof leather...they never rub against your feet in the hottest of weather. They run about $90, but will last alot longer than 3 pairs of crocs. They are known as hiking sandals, and can usually be purchased at an outdoor supply store.

I wear crocs (which do have enough support for me with very high arches, I have worn them 8 days straight to the World without any foot problems) and Keens, which are wonderful for support and very comfortable...get any style labeled H2, they're the waterproof ones. Since I discovered Keens, (I love my Crocs but like the looks of the Keens better!) I take both Keens and Crocs on my trips and switch off.

Crocs and Tevas both work great - but our family would vote crocs over tevas all day long.

I just got a pair of Merrell waterproof sandals, and I could wear them the next day-the whole day.

Last night I wore them through a thunderstorm, and they were great.

I have Crocs. Actually, five pairs of them!! :lmao: I bought my first pair after reading about them on the boards, wore them for 6 days at WDW, and they are truly wonderful! I've also worn them camping and just about everywhere else.

I have thought about trying the H2O Keens next trip though. If you read about them here, then they must work! ;)
