Yes, I am vain. I have puny puny light lashes and without mascara, my eyeballs look bald.

That being said, I am having trouble finding a good waterproof mascara. I currently have Maybelline Great Lash -- and while I love the regular mascara, the waterproof stuff runs and smudges on a hot day.

Any suggestions?? Does anyone use Clinique's (it's bonus time!) and can recommend it?

Thanks! You all rock!

Hey there.. I worry about my lashes too. :) We can be vain together! ;)

Anyways, I've had the best luck with Maybelline waterproof mascara and (depending on how much you're willing to pay for it) DiorShow in waterproof. They're the best, they don't clump, they actually are waterproof and they aren't difficult to remove when you're ready. Personally I'd choose Diorshow because it makes my lashes look ridiculously good but the cheaper alternative is the Maybelline. The best way to tell if it will work for you though is to just try it out at a home. Good luck!

Avon is great and I use the kind that probably every woman has - the pink bottle with the green top....

Haven't used the waterproof, but the regular Diorshow mascara is fabulous.

Hi There,

the Estee Double Wear mascara is great! Makes your lashes very long, stayes on for 15 hrs and can be removed with warm water.:tinker:

Have fun!

Have you ever tried Maybelline Full & Soft Waterproof? I hate the waterproof mascara's that totally dry out your lashes or make your lashes look spidery! I used the full & soft the last 2 summers and will probably use it again this summer if I don't find anything else. It's not that I look like I have nothing without mascara but my lashes are very light and I hate the way I look without anything on them so even in the super hot Florida heat, I will be wearing all of my make up everyday! I will probably tone it down during the day but it will be on! I wish I had the type of skin and features that would allow me to go without make up cause trust me, I hate having to take the time to put it on but I just don't! I have that pinkish, pale uneven skin and I swear I have roseaca (sp?), so I don't go out without it, it's not pretty!:scared: You are not vein and I'll be right there with you!:thumbsup2

Bare Escentuals makes a waterproof mascara called 'Weather Everything', that won't smudge or come off unless you use a waterproof mascara remover. It darkens lashes well, but doesn't really extend them that much however.

My favorite waterproof mascara though is made by a company in Japan called Shiseido Majolica Majorca. Their lash primer is called 'Curl, Curl, Curl Toward the Sky' and their best mascara is 'Lashes My Lashes Extend Elegantly'. It's supposed to make your lashes like 120X their normal length. It doesn't extend them that much, but it definitely makes them noticeably longer and won't smudge or flake off. Curl your lashes, apply the primer, let dry, then apply a coat of the mascara and your lashes are set for the day. The only problem with it is that it is VERY difficult to get off. I have to use Kanebo Cleansing Oil to get it off. Waterproof mascara removers and cleansing creams won't touch this stuff. However, your lashes will be long, curly, dark, and smudge free until you decide to take it off. The only place I've found it is on ebay. They also have a mascara called 'Lash Enamel Glamour' which stays on well, but doesn't extend your lashes like the Lashes Extend. My eyes have a tendency to water alot and I've never been able to wear mascara on my bottom lashes until I found these two. Now nothing budges my mascara. Again though it is very hard to get off, unless you use the Kanebo Cleansing Oil. It's then comes off easily, but that's the only thing I've found to budge it. If you don't believe me, go to makeupalley.com and read the reviews.

Cover Girl Marathon (in the green tube). I have worn it for over ten years and love it! Plus, it's only about $4 a tube - can't beat that!

Why not get your eyelashes dyed? I have the same problem with my lashes and a couple days before I travel I go to the beauty school and the dye my lashes for $7. You can always put mascara over top to make them look longer but if you are at the waterparks or anything you never have to worry about your make-up running.

I second the dying but I would go to a reputable salon. It shouldn't be very expensive. Then you can always try some mascaras too - I like the waterproof Maybelline - I wear it every day.

ONLY comes off with water and pressure. Never smudges. Guaranteed to last thru Spash Mountain and your tears during Wishes also.

I vote for this one too! You won't pull out any lashes while trying to remove it like with all the regular waterproof mascaras. It's a little pricey ($22) but well worth it for Disney and the Florida humidity.

Seriously, Covergirl Marathon is the most waterproof mascara I've ever seen in my entire life. I hate Covergirl products in general but that Mascara is so waterproof it's actually annoying. It stays on through waterparks, storms, sweating, everything. If you want waterproof w/o smudges, get that lol. I'm just warning you, it sucks trying to get it off! Make sure you have a good remover because I couldn't even get it off w/ Vasceline.

I have the same problem...my lashes are blonde and dissapear. They are also not overly thick. I plan on going to my local mall to Sephora and trying something similar to the tubemylashes....here is the link:

I'd love to know if anyone else has tried this one:idea: .

To me, the Blinc is the same as Tubeyourlash just costs more. Tubeyour lash is only $15. I like them both the same.

I was intrigued by the Tube Your Lash, so I just ordered it (15 shipped)!! I'm keeping the other brands in mind, too, just in case that one's a bust.

I just got my first job as a zumba instructor (aerobics based on latin dance) and so, beyond DW, i'll need something that withstands sweat. Thanks for all your replies!!!

Hummm...I saw "Tubeyourlash" and thought it was Blinc's Kiss Me, didn't check the link. I've used Kiss Me for my last two Disney trips and love it. Only way it could be any better is if it built more volume (oh, and cost less). But if Tubeyourlash is just as good, at a cheaper price, I'll have to give them a try!

Thanks for the link!!
