HI guys,

Just a few last minute queries of super high importance :lmao:

I've read that waterproof mascara is the way to go for an August trip. I have been on 'hot' holidays previously but not experienced the humidity thing yet..... Do I really need waterproof mascara as it's not something I usually use? :confused3

And then suncream for the face. I have used Clinique city block spf40 in the past. I have to be careful with my mush as I get brown blotches if I don't use a high spf. Does anyone use anything different that they would recommend?

Thanks guys :goodvibes

If you *must* wear mascara, then I'd agree and say that waterproof is probably the way to go. Purely because of the heat, combined with the water rides :thumbsup2 Personally, I just left it out for two weeks.

I have known other ladies book themselves in for an eye lash tint before leaving the UK. But you do need to call in a salon 24 hours before having one done for them to do a reaction test to make sure that it'll be okay for you.

As for the sun cream for your face, I use Clinique as you do and I've never had any problems at all, except for the fact of me stupidly forgetting my poor ears in the process ;) Ouch! If it's good for you and know it works, I'd stick with the same as you know you won't have any problems.

I can't advise on the mascara, but I use Garnier Ambre Solaire SPF 50+ for sensitive skin on my face (and everywhere else). It has 5 star UVA rating and the best UVA blockers - Mexoryl SX/XL (only found in L'Oreal brands/products).

It's currently just £5 per 200ml bottle in Asda.

If you still want a high end product though, I'd recommend La Roche-Posay (it's another L'Oreal brand - you can get it in Boots).

I dont wear waterproof mascara but I am using Ultrasun suntan lotion this year. You put it on once a day and you are protected all day:thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies :goodvibes

I guess I will take my usual stuff with me and see how I get on :thumbsup2 Can always buy alternatives once we are there if necessary!

Thanks again :goodvibes
