So, my family has somewhat turned into waterpark junkies. We love 'em & have started to incorporate them into almost every vacation. So far, we've been to:

Whitewater in Branson
Six Flags STL
Great Wolf Lodge, Wis Dells
Noah's Ark, Wis Dells
Typhoon Lagoon
Blizzard Beach

Plans are to hit Splashin' Safari in IN along with the KC Schlitterbahn and another place (name escapes me) in Rockford, IL. Would love to hear about more places we could visit with Waterparks, particualarly lesser known ones we might hit on the way to more popular destinations.

So how 'bout it? :goodvibes

Key Lime Cove in Gurnee,IL. It is very close to Six Flags.
Splash Universe in Shipshawana, IN or Dundee, MI
Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City,MI
Avalanche Bay at Boyne Resort in Boyne Falls,MI
WildWater Adventure in Michgan Adventure Amusement Park in Muskegeon, MI

Those are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head. Hope this helps!

Holiday World in Southern Indiana....amazing!

The original Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, TX is amazing. We went there 5 years ago on vacation. We traveled 2000 miles to check it out and we had the most amazing family vacation.

3 months ago, the company I work for relocated us to Central Texas, we are now 55 miles from Schiltterbahn in New Braunfels. The first thing we did upon our arrival was to buy season passes!!!!!
We love love love it, the original park is so unique, beautiful and tons of fun. It is unlike any other water park I have ever been too.

I have seen some of the parks that you speak of, we have visited both the Disney parks and like you, we have learned we love water parks but we really love the original Schlitterbahn.

One of my conditions on taking the position and moving was I take every tuesday off all summer and we head to Schlitterbahn!

The Wilderness in Wis Dells and Kalahari in Wis Dells are really two of the best. They are my DS and his friends favorites.

There is also a smallish one in Springfield, IL just off I-55. It's connected to Knight's Action Park. Not a bad way to break a drive to or from Chicago.
