After spending a week in Disneyworld in October, which we loved, I have decided to take the kids back for a quick trip over Memorial Day Weekend just so we can hit up the water parks. I'm not even sure we would go into any of the big parks, save for one day. Has anyone done this? Was it worth it?

I have not done this, but on our last trip in April 04 we all agreed that the waterpark was are favorite thing of all. We went to typhoon lagoon and just loved it! When it is so hot out, it is so nice to ride rides and be wet at the same time. Plus my dd was 4 at the time and loved there little kid are with her own "big" ride.

To visit both water parks you will need two tickets, about $37. each, per person, or a non-expiring park ticket with the $53. water park fun add-on per person. By non-expiring I mean after that water park only weekend none of the big park days would have been consumed.

If there was a water park near home I would go to that instead of WDW, saving a trip all the way to WDW trip for an occasion when you have more time and want to visit "everything".

Just keep in mind that all of the parks were PACKED over MM weekend last year. We had decided to extend our vacation through the weekend and were surpised to learn that not only were all WDW resorts completely booked but also all off-site motels/hotels/whatever within 20 minutes-or-so of WDW were booked, as well. (Note: Dh had finally caught the Disney Bug and refused to give up! After many, many calls throughout the week, he caught a cancellation at CSR. However, everything was so crowded over the weekend that I really wish we'd saved the money for our July/August trip.)
