I know the parks are insanely busy, but what about the Water parks? I know only one is open with the temps being cooler, etc. We are checking in 12/3-1/7. Hoping the crowds start to diminish after the first... and was thinknig about going to Typhoon Lagoon on New Years Day. Just wondering if it would be better than going into one of the other parks. Opinions?

Better than other parks? - probably - but weather will be the biggest factor. We have had multiple December trips and never done the water parks. There are certainly those that do but from my observation on the buses - not very many. However, if you get a very warm day and it happens to be the day you planned to go to the water park, you can be certain it will have more people there than the cooler winter days. If you have the ability to allow for some flexibility in regards to the day you visit - I highly recommend it as the temp will probably vary quite a bit while you are there. We have had days bundled up with our heaviest sweatshirts and mittens to days in shorts - all on the same trip.

Yes.. We have done January twice and both times we have done the water parks. We have usually traveled later in January though.
