waterparks in december

What is the weather like in early December. Is it warm enough to go swimming . If so are any of the waterparks open in December.

One waterpark should be open,in the cooler months they'll have one closed and refurbish the other one.As far as the weather there's been days where it gets as warm as the low to mid 80's and there's been days when the high is in the low to mid 50's with lows as much as near 30.If it gets that cold the one waterpark open will probably close down.More likely you'll have temperatures somewhere in the middle,the coldest I've ever been to a waterpark was with highs in the low to mid 70s sometime in March and for a Floridian like me it was actually kind of chilly especially when you weren't in the sun,but if you're coming from a colder place you'll be just fine with highs in the 70's,as they also keep the water warm.

We have been in Dec to the water parks and maybe it was just a cold week - but we were very chilly and didn't enjoy it much!

We were at WDW this past December and before going asked the same question! The weather is quite variable. We had great weather, sun every day, and some days in the sun at 12 noon it passed 80 degrees. The kids swam in the hotel pool in the afternoons though the grownups felt the air was too chilly to enjoy. We opted not to go to the water park - Blizzard Beach was open in 2008 and again in 2009 during the Winter (guess they did a lot of work over at Typhoon Lagoon!), because we felt that it wouldn't be warm enough to enjoy a full day, and we didn't want to spend $$ on a ticket and not use it to its full value. So now we just need to go again soon in the warmer weather because we LOVE water parks!! Enjoy WDW in December. It's a fabulous season there
