Waterpark Questions

Two quick quetions as I do my final packing:

1. Do I bring towels from home? Get them from the resort (and return them) or are they provided at the waterparks?

2. Do we need water shoes or will wearing flip flops or sandals into the park and then going without shoes work?

You can get towels at the water parks, as well as renting lockers. You can probably get by without water shoes at typhoon lagoon, but Blizzard beach has more concrete that gets HOT ( and I am a barefoot girl) and you would be wise to have water shoes or keep those flip flops handy!

The towels at the water parks are not free, you have to rent them.

We always take towels from our resort pool the night before and bring them back to the resort pool when we return from TL/BB.

We bring towels from POR, when we go to the water parks. We then return them to POR. I think it is a $1 to rent towels at the water park. I wouldn't take up precious room in my luggage for beach towels.

I am not a bare foot person but do tend to go bare foot at the water parks. However, I'm there usually in March when it isn't as warm as it is there now. I would think it depends on what time of year you are down there.

If you are staying on property the towels at the resort pools are the exact same towels that are rented at the waterparks.

I agree about the shoe thing it depends on when you are going. We didn't need ours at the park. In fact the second time we went we just wore old sundresses over our bathing suits and flip flops and we stashed them under a chair, we didn't even rent a locker. Of course they might have been stolen but that's where the "old" came in. I figured I would take my chances and then if I HAD to buy one of those expensive coverups... lol but I didn't.

Just got back a few hours ago and had a great time.

We borrowed (and returned) towels from CBR. Didn't need the shoes on the grounds of TL, although I could see where in the middle of the summer you would.

Also, we ended up not renting a locker, just put everything in a beach bag and a towel on top of that and didn't have any problems.
