I have always gone along with the fact that it's better to go to waterparks Monday to Thursday but Saturday 29/8 would fit in with our planning. Anyone been at weekend? Would it be mega busy? It would proberly be BB.

We went to a waterpark on the weekends in August last year and it was ok, I didn't really notice it being much busier than usual. We get there really early though and leave by lunch, maybe the locals come out to play in the afternoon? :confused3

We always find the water parks equally as busy no matter what day throughout July/August. We get their early and leave mid-afternoon usually, but at that point there are very few beds left, most gone by 11ish

According to Len Testa of the unofficial guide on the WDW Today podcast, contrary to most people's beliefs the waterparks are actually less busy at weekends because everybody assumes that they are a big draw for locals when in fact they are not.

Time of day, rather than day itself is a much more significant factor, whatever day you are going get there early.

We are off tomorrow and we are planning a waterpark on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend - will let you know how it is - we are also going this Monday as well so we can compare (one trip to BB and one to TL) - unsure which order yet but apparently BB is more popular with locals than TL on a weekend.

Thanks that would be great. Hope you have a fab trip.

I agree with getting there early any day, towards the afternoon is when they start to get really busy and IMO a waterpark being busy is way worse than one of the normal parks being!
