Waterpark & More Option

We just booked our end of summer free dining trip and opted for the waterpark and more option instead of park hopper. It is the first time we are going with this option. I understand the waterpark and more option can be used within 14 days of activaction of the tickets.

On the day that we check in, are we able to go to a waterpark prior to the first theme park visit? I might be getting confused with the activaction part and if we need to acticvate with a theme park visit first.

Also, is there a bus to Disneyquest? Is is the same bus as downtown disney?

Yes you can go to the waterpark on your first day and/or before you use a park day. Park days don't have to be used to use your waterpark/disneyquest visits. You take the downtown Disney bus and walk to Disney quest. Have fun!

There used to be a separate bus stop at Westside DTD where DisneyQuest is. But due to construction it's been closed. The only stop for DTD is on the east side (Marketplace). Adjacent to the bus stop is a boat dock and there's a boat that will take you to Westside DTD and DQ. Or, just depart the bus and shop-and-stroll as you walk to DQ. Shopping is mostly located at the Marketplace. In-between east side and west side is construction and temporary walls, although there are shops and restaurants, too.

The clock starts on your first use of a ticket through any Park gate. This may be a theme park or a "fun" visit.
