Never been as it's never been open when we go but, i don't think you could put it in the same sentance as the disney parks. There up there on there own.
Wet and wild is good for older one's if your into thrill water slides.

You won't get any better than the disney one's though, something for everyone in them.

Never been, but drove past it a lot in December (and on other previous trips). It always looks very run down and shabby compared to Wet n Wild and the Water parks.

If you have either a flex ticket (for Wet n Wild) or hopper plus (for Disney) then I really would not bother with this place. I think it keeps going by being MUCH cheaper than the other water parks, with "buy one day get 7 free" or something like that! Years ago Airtours used to give away tickets to Watermania and we still didnt go!

Having said that, I have never personally been inside it, Im basing my opinions on its appearance from the road. Maybe someone will be along who has been and can advise you more!

Hiya

I would be interested in views from someone who has been to Watermania. Mainly because my df cant swin & doesnt like water wereas I am the complete opposite so if we went to watermania would it be quieter than the other waterparks allowing me to get the slides & stuff done quickly so me & df can just relax & sunbathe for a while?

Me to,only drove past and don't look anywhere near on a par with even wet and wild.

Yes I have been although it was several years ago. Never had a problem with the queues for the rides. I actually preferred it to Wet and Wild mainly due to the smaller crowds. You can't really compare it to the Disney parks as they are much more scenic. I know you can find some good discounts for Watermania in the discount coupon books or local papers.

We went to Watermania as a freebie from Airtours back in '97 and we thought that it was fine. If I remember correctly, it has a similar version of the tidal wave at Typhoon lagoon, a lazy river, a surfing ride that my eldest son was fantastic on, a couple of steep slides and some family raft rides, we had a great day there and wouldn't hesitate to go again if it wasn't situated where it is (we don't drive in the states and like to stay around I-Drive or Disney, so it is a bit out of the way for us especially as we stay opposite Wet'n'Wild) Give it a go you will enjoy it. There is no theming as with the Disney Parks but the rides are just as good.
Hope this helps :cool1:

We went a few years ago and I remember it having a good water play area for younger children, you used to get free tickets when booking with certain holiday companies. Would'nt both paying to go in now but I'm not keen on wet and wild either. Prefer the disney water parks.
