Are there watercraft rentals (Whaler) if staying at Boardwalk resort and if so can you navigate over to Magic Kingdom? I've done it from The Poly and Wilderness Lodge on previous trips and curious of the possibility from Boardwalk? Wasn't looking to go to the park from rental but just to get over in that area. Thanks.

You can rent the small boats at the Yacht Club marina. The waterway only goes over to the Studio.

If you want to do the boats near the MK, you'll need to rent from GF/Poly/Contmp/WL/FW.

Not to steal your thread, but what size engines are on the Whalers?

The water way from Epcot isn't connected to MK. As mentioned if you want to go and ride around Bay Lake & 7 Seas you'd have to rent from an MK area resort.
POR also has a marina that you can rent from, the river takes you into DTD area, for something different.
