I am very surprised in the results (surprised in a good way) but it has me thinking that maybe non-water drinkers may not reply or read...:confused3

Maybe more people than you think drink a lot of water. Most of the people I know drink water but they are active people so that has a lot to do with it.

I drink mostly water but do love my Mt Dew! Other than that I drink a lot of unsweet tea.

DD is all grown up so I cant MAKE her drink water but she mostly does. Not so much for the health benefit but because of her budget! :rotfl: I notice that when I am buying dinner she gets coke!

Dd is the water queen for our home. She takes her Sigg everywhere!

I crave my Coke so its 50/50 with me between coke and water. I have been trying to cut back by having Crystal Light with my breakfast and lunch instead of Coke. (I dont think my headache or my co-workers are appreciating my effort to change!)

Absolutely!
I have one cup of coffee in the mornings, occaisionally I have a cup of coffee in the afternoon...about once a week I'll have wine with dinner. Other than that the ONLY thing I drink is water.

My kids will have orange juice or milk with breakfast, other than that it's ONLY water. Soda or juices are a rare treat around here--maybe once a month or so?

Since I can't go and edit it, once again, please accept my apoligize for stating - "making" your children drink water. In my house, it was and is hard to push the water over the cool soft drinks/fruit juices. They never saw great commercials for a glass of water:rotfl:.

I meant no disprespect to anyone, just bad judgement in wording...

But I will admit, I did have to make my kids drink water when they were little and still remind them now.

I don't think anyone is upset about it--just amused at the idea:rotfl:

I do wonder if the attitude that water is something you have to "make" people drink is coming across to your kids (or did when they were little) amd that is part of the problem:confused3 My kids (and I would guess most of them) did not think to question drinking water because to was pretty much all that was ever served to them at home. There was no alternative available to compare it to, and we were all drinking it (adults as well).

I said other as I don't have kids.

But my husband and I both drink water regularly. I try to do 2 liters a day. I don't always do that, but I try.

I'll admit it. I hate water. I never drink it. Mostly I drink Diet Pepsi. My older kids mostly drink water. I don't make them, but they just seem to prefer it. Our refrigerator has a water/ice dispenser that is filtered. My two year old? I think she would drink a gallon of milk a day if we let her.

I'm trying, I'm really trying but I swear water is the most tasteless stuff. My kids drink it all the time. we even have a cooler with water delivery but I'm lucky if I can force myself to drink 1 12 oz bottle a day.

I'm the same way but Crystal Light is my friend.

It's pretty much all we (the kids and me) drink, although we'll have a sweet tea or sprite with our meals if we eat out. We don't buy soda's though, unless we're having a party or something and want to have it available to guest....oh and my husband lives off of Mtn Dew and Gatorade....but he keeps those in his fridge LOL

From another thread I was reading. Do you drink water? Do you make your children drink water?

I am finding that many people (here and in real life) don't take advantage of water and its benefits.

I would really like to know if people actually still drink water.:)

We pretty much just drink lightly sugared kool-aid, water, tea, and milk.

Sign me up as a water hater. Well, hate is a strong word. Occassionally I'll drink water (at resturaunts, out and about, and rarely at home). I have to be super thirsty to drink water. I can sip water but perfer to drink something else. It has no taste. I know that is the point, but I just don't like it. Instead I drink diet coke (usually about 16-24oz, I don't drink coffee) in the morning and then switch to VitaWater XXX Zero. Love that stuff. I drink about 2-3 a day (40-60 oz).

The kids drink water, too, usually as watered down juice with meals (1/2 tap water & 1/2 fortified juice since DS7 doesn't like milk), fountains when out and about and milk for DS5.

Growing up I had water, juice and milk. Milk usually won out much to my mom's dismay. At least I am not like mother-in-law who at 60 already is bending over because she refused to drink milk or eat dairy (no cheese even) her whole life.

We all drink water. Either out of the door of the fridge or sometimes I buy bottled water at work. If I am eating out I will drink coke or beer. DD(7) drinks tons of water all day long, but if we eat out she drinks a coke too.

She does have a friend who HATES water. She is 6 and says she is allergic to it. ;)

Water is my favorite drink. I have a big insulated mug of ice water with me at all times. My kids are always "stealing" sips from it. DH used to be a big soda drinker, but I have converted him for the most part...

I think sometimes I have to remind them to drink anything!

Water haters, why don't you flavor it with fruit or lemon? I have a cousin who gets a big pitcher of water and slices up lots of oranges, lemons, limes, and puts in the pitcher with ice and water. It's pretty tasty.

Maybe that'll help you.

I never drink water because of the disgusting things that fish do in it.

I never drink water. Water is the stuff that rusts pipes.

I wonder who is buying up all the soda at the stores? :confused3 Certainly not the DISers! ;)

I drink a lot of water in the form of unsweetened brewed tea. I will drink plain water as well but prefer it in tea form.

I have drastically cut down on my pop consumption because I was spending way to much money on it and it was so bad for me. Since cutting down in January I have lost 15 lbs and that feels good.
