Water Taxi Help Wanted From Disney Boardwalk To EPCOT

Hi,

We are holidaying off-site at WDW in October, friends of ours are there at the same time, staying at the Yacht & Beach (lucky devils!!)

We are arranging to meet them for breakfast one morning at The Boardwalk & then heading straight over to EPCOT, returning for a meal at Spoodles later. Being as my husband & I are non-resort guests can we still use the water taxis ? Do we need any resort ID or anything to show ??

Obviously don't want the embarressment of being turned away - would rather make alternative arrangements..............

Any light anyone can shed would be gratefully appreciated.

As long as you have some sort of admission media....hopper, AP, etc., you are able to use all WDW transportation.

And I have very, very rarely seen them check for anything...never on the boats in my experience. Have fun.

Its really faster to walk, unless you have small children in tow or have mobility issues yourself.

Keep in mind that you can't park all day at the BW and visit Epcot. You are supposed to move your car. Your friends may be able to get you a guest pass to park at the Y&BC (I don't know) - and you could then walk over for breakfast. The BW has a huge parking problem in this respect - people staying there and returning for nap or swim time sometimes can't park at their own hotel because the lot is full.

Thank you both for your comments, it is much appreciated. My thoughts were the same about transportation, I was sure I wouldn't have a problem. The issue now though is parking !! I was hoping to obviously park at the BW all day - guess now perhaps the easiest way is to meet them in EPCOT - as I can't keep popping out to move the car !!

My experience of BW is usually that the car park is very busy - it is one of my favourite spots at WDW so am a very frequent visitor - love nothing more than sitting on the beach swing up by the Y & B and watching the world go by !!
