water shoes?

Has anyone ever worn Land's End sea to shore shoes? Do they work well in the ocean? Are water shoes a must?

Love Land's End shoes. We took water shoes with us on our cruise and used them in St. Maarten and on CC and as our going to the pool shoes. The kids didn't wear them in the pool, but they always seemed to get wet. It was a plus not to have to worry about our everyday shoes being wet. I don't know if they were necessisary, but it was great for the kids to walk along the beach, swim and then walk to get lunch without changing shoes. DD is 4 and DS is 2. Not having to change shoes was a plus for us.

Land's end has the slip-on kind and the lace-ups. Both are made of a waterproof mesh fabric. I plan on getting the lace-ups so I can wear them as tennis shoes in the parks as well as on the beach. FYI- Sears has some select styles and colors in their store
