water shoes?

Can someone recommend a good water shoe for children and one for adults?

My family wears Keens.

I also recommend Keens. Have worn on many beaches, rafting, kayaking, hiking involving walking in rivers ... you get the idea. Only problem was when my husband left his Keen sandals outside a cottage in Thailand and a dog chewed one but REI replaced for free.

We have some from Lands End that we've been very happy with. They're at least 15 years old and going strong.

Ugh, do NOT buy the current ones that lands end carry. The ones from a few years back were great for me, but the new ones are all mesh on the inner sole and after standing/walking on them for 15 minutes, they started to burn and irritate the bottom of my feet. Imagine standing on a screen door in the heat and you'll get the idea.... I left them in the stateroom, not even to try to shove back in my full luggage for our trip home. My dd hated hers too.

My daughter's are Columbia Drainmaker and she loves them. She hates water shoes with big holes that allow rocks to get in them. They are also a LOT less expensive than Keens. Mine are Keens, but my feet are done growing!

Costco usually sells the Speedo version. Check your local Costco or check online at major retailers. Amazon has a free return policy on items they sell.

We purchased the Speedo ones on board ship. Love them. Paid about $25.

DS and I both have Natives that we use for every day wear and for water. DS wore his just today on a camp field trip to a water park.

They come in a few styles - we've stuck with the keds slip on style. Love them. Super comfy and made of plastic so they get wet, and dry fine and NO SMELL EVER. They are also the shoes we wear to the Disney parks.
