Water shoes at water park

We are planning on spending a day at Blizzard Beach. We always wear the ugly water shoes when we go to a water park. My parents are coming with us and have never been to a water park so they don't have any water shoes. We have waited until the last minute and I can't seem to find water shoes anywhere. Walmart doesn't have them now that the season is over. Has anyone else had luck finding them somewhere? Also, do they sell these shoes at Blizzard Beach?

They do sell them there, but they are much more expensive than you would have paid at Walmart--I think between $10-15 dollars. They are the ones with the Mickeys on them.

They sell them at BB close to the entrance, as I recall. For my feet water shoes at BB were a must. The walkways and bottoms of the pools are a bit rough (cuts down on slipping of course) and bothered my feet. I had the same problem a few years ago when we went - couldn't find them anywhere at home in September - so I was very glad to see them at BB.

What about on slides? Can you keep your water shoes on?

The launch CM on the TL water slides will make you remove shoes. I just held on to them for the ride down, but you can't keep them on your feet.

Don't know about BB.

Miscrapper, you can keep your shoes on for most of the slides at BB. You'll have to remove them for the two big body slides - Summit Plummit and Slush Gusher.

We bought ours at a Sports Authority - any big box sporting goods store should have them. We only payed 7-8 bucks a pair, and they even had size 13's for my gunboats.
