Water Parks

Although we've been to Disney World many times, we haven't been in 3 years, AND we've never been to a water park. Now that the kids are all competent swimmers and tall enough for everything, they want to try it. Blizzard Beach is the one they want to try the most.

We will be in Disney World Aug 31- Sept 12. Is there a day of the week that is better for the water parks? The schedule I have tentatively planned leaves Saturday Sept 5th open all day for the water park with Sunday Sept 6th as a rest day (because I think water parks are exhausting) This is Labor Day weekend.

Does this seem okay? I could switch it to water park Friday, and move MK to Saturday, but I'd rather have an easy day at MK, so Friday seemed better for MK than Saturday.

I would think a weekend day would be busier than a week day.

Weekends would be busier and especially with Labor Day it will be crowded. But if you expect crowds and plan for them, you should have fun anyways!

The water parks are a great deal of fun, and you can do some of the more adventurous rides or take a spin on the lazy river (it will get crowded in it, usually after 11:30 or by noon it was packed for when we were there).

Also, it might be a good idea to wear water shoes (just FYI...the bottom of the wave pool seemed rough to us).

I would think a weekday at a waterpark will be RELATIVELY less crowded than a weekday at one of the four main parks which will have a certain level of crowds no matter the weekend/weekday; thus, I would go the main parks over Labor day weekend, particularly since you will be there for so many days. Labor day is probably the least crowded of the major US holidays/long weekends available.
