Okay - I was one of the lucky ones who cashed in on the recent discount code. My tickets were upgraded and now I have access to the water parks for free. Since it's FREE I hate not to spend a little time there. Although, my boys are 2 and 7. THe 7 year old would be fine in the water but my 2 yo was petrified of it this past summer. (I know he might not be now)
Also, we are going to be at WDW for a week but I really wanted to keep the trip at a slower pace and soak it in so I really don't feel like we have the time.

What are your thoughts on the water parks? Do you have a preference? What about for 2 yr olds? We are going the last of April first of May - should be really warm but I'm from the South SOOOOO I usually don't swim until about 90degrees! HA Is the water heated? Yada, yada, Yada!

Thanks for the help!

We were there last year in June and are going again end of April, first week of May. My son was just 3 last year & my daughter 4. They loved the water parks, and in fact, when I asked them what they most wanted to do when we go back, they said Blizzard Beach. I was surprised...but they did have so much fun there.

We did both BB & Typhon Lagoon and preferred BB. Both places have a great place for the little ones to play but I prefer BB because it seemed like I could keep a better eye on them. We are definitely going back this trip.

They should really enjoy it so I say go for it...at least once.

We will also be there at the end of April/beginning of May! We weren't planning on doing the water parks, but since we also got the upgraded tickets with the new promotion we're going to check out both of them. Our plan is to go to one of the "big 4" parks in the morning, have lunch, then head to the water park around 3 PM after a short rest. That way we can avoid the hottest part of the day and have about 3 hours to spend at the water park. My kids are 6 and 7, and as much as they would probably love to spend longer at the park, 3 hours is PLENTY for me and dh! Should they decide they REALLY want to return to one again, we can make time for a third trip towards the end of the week. We're also setting aside an afternoon for Disney Quest.

The water parks, except for Shark Reef at TL, are heated until late spring. They are maintained in the low 80s (27C) until that becomes natural.
