Water Parks???

Hi Everyone - Its been awhile since Im on. We have a last minute trip coming up (2 weeks from now!) so Im excited! Anyway in all of our trips to Disney we have never visited the water parks; but now with the children being a bit older 7, 9 and 12 we're ready. My question is which would you recommend for us considering the kids ages? I'd love to hear any feedback you have on either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. I can always count on you guys (and gals) for some great advice. Thank You!

We like Typhoon Lagoon better. We're primarily lazy river/wave pool people. I think there are more thrills at Blizzard Beach, but our kids aren't old enough yet to ride big slides.

I prefer TL, kids like the big slides at BB. For me, it's about the theming, I like tropical, hate the fake snow.

We went to TL when the boys were 9 and 11. They absolutely loved the wave pool, but only the older one was brave enough to snorkel with the sharks - boy, did that give him kudos!

My kids have been to both twice. They want to go back to BB in 2 weeks. They like the slides more and enjoy the family raft ride more. I am counting the seconds..

Bllizard Beach every time for us

The theming is so good here.

The lazy river is better then TL.

first time ever to any water park and we have kids 9 yr old. They had a great time. we went to TL. There is a variety of things to do, but their favorite was the wave pool. Hint on slides with tubes..keep your fanny up!
My kids just had swimming lessons this summer, so they can swim but aren't star swimmers, but they did fine on everything.

my kids are now 7 and 13, they insist on BB. The younger ones have been informing me since they were 5 that TL's kid's area is for babies. They love the ski patrol area of BB, it's for kids about 4 and up. They aren't really into the bigger slides, well the 13 yr old is but not the 7's. They much prefer the family raft ride at BB and the lazy river. They hated the wave pool at TL, they kept getting knocked down by waves or by people who had been knocked down by waves. One of them got pretty scratched up from the bottom of the pool. The wave pool at BB is tamer but they're more interested in Ski Patrol.
