Questions!

Can you wear watershoes on all the slides?
Could we just wear clean flip flops?

Recommend stuff to me! We're not croc people, we're sandal/flipflop people but I don't want to get kicked out ! :rotfl:

I usually wear flip flops to get around the water parks, as the surfaces can get hot. You can kick off your shoes and leave them near the entrance to a slide, and then retrieve them when you're ready to move on. There are always chairs or a shady spot to leave them. I've never had a problem finding them again. I'm not sure if they'll let you wear flip flops on the actual slides - they might come off.

The announcement on the buses between resorts/water parks/parks recommends that you wear some sort of shoe to protect against the hot ground. Flip flops are easy to kick off and slip on again. Besides, they're cheap to replace, should they "walk away" on their own. :)

My friend says aqua shoes, but not sure as my feet may be even warmer in those.
I think I'll try the flip flop route and if they go walkabouts not a problem

If I wear flip flops at the parks, but can't wear them on the slides what can I do with them? Wear them on my hands so I will have them at the bottom? :rotfl2:

You can take the flip flops off and hold them on the slide. Last time we went people were even doing that on Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach.

First, thanks for reminding me to buy some cheap flip flops for the water parks! :0)
Second, yes. We just wear them on our hands when we go down the slides. Trust me, the water shoes are so darn hot!

Can you take your flip flops off and go in the lazy river? I ask because when in the lazy river, I don't always get out where I started.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone on the lazy river with flip flops on, I know I've seen water shoes but never flip flops. So I'm guessing it would be a no. My Dsis and I just tend to go barefoot and suck it up.

Thanks. I usually go barefoot too but that was in May we are going in Aug when it's hotter so I was just wondering in case I need to ware shoes. :)

We go barefoot when we are going on rides. Disney's waterparks are better than most :thumbsup2. There's a lot of shade when walking around the park and they have sprinklers keeping the pavement wet for your feet in key areas so that it's not so hot. I luv both disney waterparks. I think I can still hear the steel drum music right now!

We always wear the aqua shoes from Land's End. They fit like sneakers and have support unlike the cheapo water shoes. There is a lot of walking even at water parks and these keep our feet happy. They are mesh and your feet do not get hot in them.

Last year, I wore a pair of cheap flip flops all over TL with no problem. I just held them in my hand while going down slides. In the lazy river, I either held on to them or wedged them under the handle of the float.

At BB, I totally ditched my shoes and ran around barefoot.
