We will be at WDW from April 22-29, apparently with a lot of other people. Our Unofficial Guide crowd ratings for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday have gone from 5-3-3 to 6-7-6. My question is, do the Water Parks also tend to correspond to these crowd levels, or are there too many other factors (such as weather) to predict that?

Are there any other water parks strategies to try to avoid the crowds? I assume the weekends are always crowded on sunny weekend days b/c of AP holders.

Should we always try to get there before the park opens, or maybe after lunch when people are resting?

Yes, Expecialy when it is hot out. Water Parks can fill up early and close at capacity by 10:30-11.I would recommend going early at opening and increase you chance of getting a chair.

We always plan on getting to the water parks at opening time at least once (we enjoy them as much/more than the theme parks) in order to get on the big rides early and without a wait. Then if we want to spend the rest of the time relaxing, we can, and not have the hassle of waiting in a very long line. (We've been at different times of the year, and there seems to always be a line for the humunga kowabunga, etc. soon after park opening.) And, if it rains without any lightening, stay. The parks just empty out completely and you'll have it to yourselves. :umbrella:

Have to agree get there early we always get some chairs out of the sun and hustle to the big slides before the crowds get to big. :flower:

We went to Blizzard Beach during our vacation last June, the week before July 4th. We got there pretty early, and found some chairs for our group by the kiddie section (we had kids with us so this was great). But it did fill up pretty quickly.

I've always gone to the water parks right when they open, find my chairs, and do the big stuff. I will then eat lunch there and leave. I usually leave my 1:30 or 2:00 and then head over to Animal Kingdom. The water parks seems extremely full when I leave and a lot of people are leaving AK when I get there. So that works for us.
