Water parks question????

My family is in the very early stages of planning a trip to WDW next summer. We would like to visit 1 of the water parks. We don't want to add the water parks and more option as we just want to go once. My question is. Is it possible to just go to one of the water parks and pay for one days admission? And if so how much is it for one days admission for 2 adults and 2 kids??

The admission is around $40 each, and it's only $50 to upgrade your tickets to include waterparks - that way you can try both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach plus you can visit DisneyQuest (giant arcade in Downtown Disney). Definitely worth it, the waterparks at Disney are beyond you're expectations, waaaay better than anything you can go to in Ontario!

I didn't realize the prices would be so close. You mention DisneyQuest. Is everything you do in disneyquest included with the water parks and more option?? You say big arcade, and I think paying for each and every game you try.

It's $50 total for the length of your ticket. Disney Quest is all free indoors. It's a kids paradise and some adults too. We have done the Aladdin 3D till we were going to be sick. Even mom's wrist hurt from too much Galaga!

Both the waterparks are fantastic. For my family, the WP's are the highlight of our trips. My DH was converted from a WDW hater to a lover thanks to the WP's and free dining

I say add the WP&M option to give your self the freedom to do whatever you want. The WP's make a really great break in between park days.

We always have the WPF&M add-on (it's included in the tickets we receive to attend my DD's baton twirling competition at WWoS)

You can also use the passes to go to WWoS (but I don't recommend that -- there's nothing there) or for a round of golf at Oak Trail - they rent partial sets of clubs for $15 for adults, free for kids.

We have tried hard but never successfully used up our passes.

We did the add on last year, but were disappointed with Disney Quest. Let me clarify, my husband LOVED it but me and the 4 and 8 yo girls were bored...we did both water parks which was great because now we know which ONE we will go to in June. So, no add on this year and only one waterpark..only $40 more to add on, but that's round trip to a hard to get to dinner reservation and I have NO patience for the bus and monorail combo that it takes to get to some of these places...just a personal issue
Either way, you are at Disney and having fun!!!

My kids love the waterparks! Disneyquest is their ultimate favorite. My kids have been going since they were 6. I FIND IT KIND OF BORING, but the kids love it. Depending where you are staying...you can take a boat. We often plan a waterpark day followed by disneyquest because the waterparks close early. If you are relying on disney buses, waterpark then disneyquest is the easiest. You may have to go to a resort, then take a bus or boat to dtd. Old Key West, Saratoga Springs and Port Orleans are the closest--I think. PS. If you can only go to one waterpark, my kids say Typhoon Lagoon.

First, let me say that I am not an experienced WDW girl. In fact, I leave for my first trip in 5 sleeps!!! But I can speak about planning for a family of five and I have done alot of research......you really need to think about the amount of time you have and what you want to do.....I believe that you can add this ticket option at any time even after you arrive at WDW. Figure out your days, what the family likes/wants to do, decide if you want/need the option. Ultimately time was a factor for us.
