I've read that Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are busy on weekends, but what about late afternoon? DH and I (no kids) would like to go after 3 pm on May 13-14, both parks are open until 6 pm Would it be worth going?

They are very busy in the afternoons. Unless you get there first thing in the morning most of the day you will be dealing with long lines and very few available chairs/shade. They are still fun to go to, just know what to expect. Also rain showers hit florida in the afternoon a lot during this time of year, if there is lightning in the area the rides will temporarily shut down until the lightning passes.

Let me add - Ive ONLY gone during off season, and ONLY gone to the waterparks on weekends.

Honestly - Ive never thought it was intolerable, at all.

That being said - we also arrive at opening, and are gone by 2.30-ish.

We have always chosen waterparks for our weekends, because we've never had bad experiences with it (but again - during off season)

I think we will plan on mostly utilizing the "lazy rivers" for our time there. Won't need chairs as we will only be there a short while. Should we plan on going around 3 pm, or would it better to wait a little later?

Thanks!
