So, we've been in December quite a few times, as well as the summer, but we have never gotten the Water Parks as an option. But with the FD package we had to choose Hoppers or Water Parks. Well DH really doesn't like to Hop, he feels we spend too much time trying to hop to another park than we do when we just stay at one park all day. I'm wanting to try to hop, but I need to convince DH. He's says lets try a Water Park so I thought I'd ask how cold it is, is it worth it or not?

Florida weather in winter is all over the place, you could get days with highs around 85 or you could get highs near 50 with lows in the 30's,no way to know until a week out or so.Here's a link to what it looked like last year for the month,it wasn't that cold or that hot.It also depends where you come from,if you're from Florida going to a waterpark with a high of 75 is not doable, for someone from Canada it might sound like a tropical paradise.

I think it depends where you are from.

As English people, we have been to the waterparks many times in December and enjoyed it (I suspect if you were from Scandinavia, or Canada, or anywhere "up North" then you would feel fine). If you come from a part of the world that is warmer, you might find them too cold.

I would do the hopper. The couple of times we have been in late November, early December, we had to wear jeans and jackets. The water parks were actually closed 4 out of the 5 days we were there. There were people in the pools at the resort when it was 39 but about froze when they got out. We are from the North and used to swim when it was 75 but our high most of the days were in the high 50s. Now there were a few days it was warm but without knowing which days, that would be hard to plan. Now ever year is different and it could be 80 when you are there but unfortunately, you just won't know. Good luck with the planning. We are hopper people and tried it without and could not do that again!

Just remember that Blizzard Beach will be your only option since Typhoon Lagoon will be closed all of November and Decemeber.

We've gone to WDW in November and had to wear pants and jackets the whole time. But I also consider anything below 80*F to be pants weather. (DH will wear shorts when it's cooler than that, but he still had to wear pants the whole time we were at WDW on our last November trip.)

I agree that it also depends on what you consider warm weather. I'm originally from very far north, but I personally can't swim unless it's >95*F. (It's been mid-70s to low 80s the past few days where I currently live and I've literally had goosebumps.)

Our family would choose the hopper tickets (we always get hoppers). It's nice to be able to hop to a less crowded park, and it opens up more dining options (especially since the choices at DHS aren't great). Really, it doesn't take very long, especially if you're going between MK/EPCOT or EPCOT/DHS.

We've been to the water parks on cloudy days in the high 60s! A bit chilly walking in line, but still very fun. I'm not a hopper fan, so I'd vote WP.
