Greetings:

Has anyone experienced a "tame" waterpark/slides that toddler would enjoy?
Obviously, in or arounf the Disney/LBV area?:rolleyes1

Have you thought about Aquatica ? :confused3 , they have a big area for little kids. My grandaughter 4 years old and my daughter 7 year old REALLY enjoyed Aquatica last year, we had to go there 4 times , thats how much they loved it :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc .

Okay thanks- would a 2.5yr old enjoy Aquatica?:cheer2: I checked the site but couldn't detemine age appropriateness:

They have a little tame slide area around a shallow pool at Aquatica.

If you do a search on Youtube you will see peoples videos of the park.

Both of the Disney waterparks have an area specifically for younger kids. Wet n Wild does too.

I found the Disney park Typhoon Lagoon more relaxing than Wet N Wild. There are sandy beach areas for the kids to play in, slides, spouts etc, DD at 2 loved the lazy river tube ride they had there in the little ones area. Couldn't get her out of it! Lunch for the kids was served in a pail so they could use it on the beach afterwards. I also saw an ice cream sundae in one of those pails, with a shovel for your spoon!

Wet n Wild is more of a concrete park with thrill rides for the older kids.

I haven't tried Aquatica, so can't comment on that park (but I understand there is little shade, so you may want to bear that in mind with young kids)

There is no question about it. Aquatica is the park for children under 5.

We've been to them all and I prefer the Disney water parks for atmosphere. Typhoon Lagoon's playarea is small and good for children under 3. I wouldn't even consider going near the wavepool in Typhoon but playing in the puddles around it kept my 1 year old entertained for hours.

Blizzard Beach has a decent size toddler area but I never feel safe there because you as a parent can't ride down the little slide with them. If one of you can be at the top and one at the bottom then it would be fine.

All the toddler slides are accessible to parents in Aquatica. Although, not accessible to the handicap due to four to five stairs.

We haven't tried Aquatica, so for me I'll go for Typhoon Lagoon. My kids really loved it and they had fun. :thumbsup2
