We will be arriving around 10am on Labor Day. We were thinking we would check into the hotel and then spend a little time at the water park before dinner, so most likely we would head out to the water park around noon.

Is this a good plan? Will it be too crowded? I've heard many people get in early and leave early...

Any suggestions?

It's not a bad plan, but noon is far too early for people to start leaving. The parks typically open at 10am, so the morning crowd starts to filter out around 3pm to 4pm. They are never "crowded" like the 4 main parks are, but they can be pretty busy mid-day. Best time to be there is 10-11am or after 5pm.

They have started testing a form of FP+ at BB. Right now, it's only scheduled to go to the end of August, but maybe it'll get extended to Labor Day.

It's a good plan. We do this every year now. We usually get there between 12- 1pm. Nobody's really leaving water park that early for the most part but that shouldn't affect you too much other than prime sitting spots will be full.

I think your only glitch might be LABOR DAY.

I know we have used the water park for our all day Memorial Day and it stayed crowded all day.

If chairs are important to you, you might want to rent the chair/umbrella combo, so you know you have a spot and shade no matter what time you get there.

We go to the water parks throughout the summer and no matter what time we arrive we can always find a shady spot. You may have to walk back along the lazy river but you will find chairs in the shade. There are lots of places to sit no matter what time you arrive. This year it seems Blizzard Beach is less crowded than Typhoon Lagoon. Enjoy!

I agree we where there at rope drop sorta speak at left at 3

I was there last Labor Day and it wasn't too bad. Although compared to the early February it was packed ;). Line wise on LD, I'd say it was better than my local park. The mat slides were less than 5 minute wait, Summit Plummet was ~10 minutes, the tube slides were 30 minutes (I skipped them).

Yep. No need for a cabana or paying for an umbrella. Doesn't matter what time of day you are there, you will have no troubles finding shaded chairs. There are TONS of them.

It's too late for our style. We get there at opening and leave around 1 pm. By then the lines for the slides are all long already.
