Is it worth getting the water parks n more option for December? It says we'd have 6 visits. I presume thats 6 visits each and Typhoon Lagoon will be closed.

Each daily visit to one of the included attractions counts as a visit. If you went to BB in the morning and returned in the afternoon it would only count as one. If you went to BB in the morning and then to DQ in the afternoon you would have used two. I'm assuming you have a 7 day base ticket. You have to factor the $43 to $50 cost of the option against what you will really use.

Daily rates are ages 10+ / 3 - 9

Water Parks $39 / $33
Disney Quest Single Day $36 / $30
Pleasure Island Single Day $21.95
Wide World of Sports $10.28 / $7.71

I havent gotten the tickets yet but I'll be getting an 8-9 day ticket as we'll be there from the 23 to the 31st. I figure the kids will go to Disney Quest at least once. Then we may go to DT Pleasure Island once to see what its like.

When are you going in Dec? I was at WDW in 2000 at the end of Nov and beginning of Dec. I found the water a little too cold when we were at Blizzard Beach.

In Sept. 1999 we did Typhoon Lagoon and had lots of fun. They kept warning us how cold the Shark Reef was but we didn't think it was that cold.

We enjoyed both water parks. I wouldn't miss them if you have the time and money. We used them as a break day during our WDW stay. We used that day to swim and explore DTD and didn't go into any of the parks. We then got an extra day out of our vacation.

we are going to be there from Dec 23-Dec 31. They already told me that Typhoon Lagoon will be closed.

Are you getting non-expiring passes? IF so, I *think* that even if you don't use all of your pluses you could use them for a future trip. Perhaps someone can verify for me, as I am basis this on old PH rules.

no we werent planning on getting non expiring passes we figured just regular 8-9 day passes

If you were planning to go to a waterpark, Disney Quest and Pleasure Island once each you would be saving money by buying the option. You can always not buy the option now and get it added on to your passes once you arrive at WDW if you want to think about it for a while.

We had the 5-day park hopper plus passes and I used on the first visit 4 days at the parks and one of the plus options-Typhoon Lagoon

Just over a year later I used the remaining park hopper one day and the other plus option - Blizzard Beach on another day.

So I had 7 days of Disney fun with the 5-Day park hopper plus.

I have not looked into WDW tickets so I don't know what is available now. I guess it depends on how much $ you want to spend and whether you may return at a later time. We planned on using all 5 of the park hopper days in the park but because the hurricane closed the parks one of the days we had a day left over. I still have a child's park hopper with one park day left and a plus option on it.

With the way WDW currently sells passes you would have to purchase a no-expire option, otherwise your all your unused admissions expire 14 days after you first use the pass. If you had to leave your vacation after one or two days you could buy the no-expire option and save the unused admissions for another trip. It's not cheap, but I don't remember exactly what the price is.

When I put in no expire option while checking tickets options it added another 500.00 to the price

Yep, it's not cheap. The price is based on the number of days on the pass originally, not how many are left over. It ranges from $10.60 for a 2-day pass to $165.08 for a 10-day pass (according to Mousesavers :thumbsup2 ). If you have a 10-day pass and have to go home after using 2 days because of planning it that way or because of an emergency it would be a good deal to pay the $165.08 per ticket to save those remaining days and waterpark options. If you only have one day left it isn't a good deal.

If you are looking at returning to WDW within 12 months it might be better to look at the annual pass option. Just a thought. I've thought about returning to WDW within 12 months, myself:rotfl2: .

We bought our tickets through CAA with the WPAM option. It was SO hot. My kids had a blast at BB!!!!

I do think in Dec. it will be way too cool for a waterpark.
