We (me, wife, and DD 3 and 6) will be at WDW for a full week in May (Sat -Sat). It is our first trip to WDW. Kids love to swim, but are not too adventerous otherwise. Should we go to a water park, or wait until they are a little older? Which park? Thanks in advance.

I had asked essentially the same question over on the DVC board, so here's a link to the responses: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=987851

I know pool-hopping is a DVC perk, so that part won't apply to you, but if you are staying at a Disney resort, the pools are almost uniformly wonderful! Are you staying on-site? Check out the website for information on your lodging's pool amenities.

Because you'd have to pay for all four of you for the day at a water park, I'd really think long and hard about it. Let's see. . . $34 for each adult and $28 for each kid. . . that's $96 for a single day if you bought just water park admission that day. Adding the "Water Park Fun and More" option to your MYW is between $175 and $200, depending on the length of your hoppers.

My opinion is to just stick with your resort pool and save the water parks for later. Your mileage, of course, may vary.

Happy planning!

If your children aren't that adventours I would skip the water parks and maybe just head the to resort pool instead. Your DDs will get to swim and it wont cost you park admission. And since you will be at your resort, you can swim, rest, swim and dont feel like you need to get it all done in one day. Plus you can go at your own pace. If your girls love to swim, at that young age I doubt they will care where they swim at. Save the water parks till they are older.

We took our kids, DS (7) and Dd (2) to Blizzard beach in September. They Loved it! But my kids are human fish. We have our own pool, plus we frequent our local waterparks.
If they aren't really into water, I probably would just stick with the resort pool. Alot of them have small water slides.

Our DSs 2yrs old and 8yrs old wernt used to swimming a lot. We went to the water parks three times and they loved it!

We went in June and it was so darn hot everyone wanted to be in the water!
