Water Park (to do or not to do)

I was trying to decide if we should try a water park this visit. My oldest is 4 and middle one is 2. My grandparents will be there so I could leave the baby home with them. Unless there is a nice shaded place to be. My 4yr old know how to swim ( I would use a life jacket though) and my 2 yr old swims all the time with a life jacket. Should I wait or should I try it. We have season passes. Any ideas?

I think your children would love it. There are portions of both water parks that are specifically designed for younger children.
My daughter will be 5 on our next trip in nov 2008. We always do the water parks and although i forget the name, the child area of Typhoon Lagoon is wonderful and very safe. There is plenty of shade and you get to sit very close to where the children are playing. The water is only ankle deep and there is a very tame tube ride that you can walk along side as your kids ride the tube.

Will they let you bring your own life jacket? My 2yr old is use to hers.

I'm not sure if Disney supply jackets for children, but I have taken one into the parks for my daughter several times.
Obviously the wave pool would be too extreme for very young kids and accidents can happen even in very shallow water, but I have found these parks very safe for younger children. There are life guards in attendance in all areas and I do not take my eyes off my daughter whilst we are there.

I say GO! Our favorite day out of each trip is our Blizzard Beach water park day. It's so much fun and very relaxing...something this family needs after a few days in the hectic parks.

If you go, buy them the rash guard type swim SPF shirts to protect their tender skin!
