Water park tickets...help?

I'm trying to understand the water park option. Just need to see if I have this correct or need clarification.
We are going to be at DW for 17 days. If we have 10-day base tickets(no hopping), we can add the wp&m for $303.39 and have 10 more days to go to water parks...and more? So 20 days total for entries?

Also, it costs $55.38/day to get into the water parks. So, for my family of 5, $276.90 for one day as opposed to adding the wp&more option for all 10 days at only $26.49 difference?! Is this correct?
Also, how much is it to add the wp&m for just one day?

This means if we don't use our wp&m until a week into our stay, we will be able to use them all the way up to the end of our 17-day stay? yes?

This post includes the assumption you have a ten day MYW ticket with both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options.

(Note, if you have a ticket of fewer than ten days, insert the number of days you have any time you see the number "ten" in this post.)

Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privileges on one card. Everything expires 14 days after first use unless you have the no-expire (NE) option. If you have the NE option all the entitlements are good until they are used up. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M entries
remain valid until used. (Note you do not have to use the days consecutively.)

You have ten days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

You have ten entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, OT, TL, WWS, FG, WSL). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, Oak Trail* in the afternoon, and Disney Quest in the evening of one day you would have used three of the ten entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)

If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.

If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.

Note that with the MYW ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

*Oak Trail is a nine-hole "Executive" walking (no carts) golf course. Each person must
have their own set of clubs and they can be rented for $15 per person if they don't bring their own.

If you have a Base ticket (no hopping) it is $60.71 to add WPF&M per ticket (one day or ten days). If you have hopping on your ticket, it is $23.43 to add WPF&M to your ticket, (Prices do include tax).

A one day, one water park, ticket is $55.38 (adult) or $46.86 (Ages 3 - 9).

:goodvibes Thank you!

So, there is no distinction in price for WP&M for adult or child. Just $60 either way?
Hmmm...difference of $52.21.

but she said they are not getting park hopper passes...

regardless; in the past we did not get the WP option but bought the tickets individually when we wanted to go...saved a few $$$ and thought it was more reasonable as, in the off chance it rains every day you are there you may never use the WP passes...

Where did you get $303.39? It costs $57 per ticket to add the WPF&M option

So 20 days total for entries?

Yes, 10 park days and 10 WPF&M entitlements (not quite the same as 10 water park days, since if you go to TL and BB on the same day, that counts as two entitlements)

Also, it costs $55.38/day to get into the water parks. So, for my family of 5, $276.90 for one day as opposed to adding the wp&more option for all 10 days at only $26.49 difference?!

Huh?

Is this correct?

I think you mean that it is much cheaper per water park entry to get the WPF&M option added to your ticket rather than buy a standalone water park ticket. As long as you plan on going to more than one water park (or other WPF&M option) then you will make out better with the WPF&M option.

Also, how much is it to add the wp&m for just one day?

You can't do this. You can only add it to your entire ticket, giving you ten entries, for $57 per ticket (plus tax).

This means if we don't use our wp&m until a week into our stay, we will be able to use them all the way up to the end of our 17-day stay? yes?

No, your entire ticket will expire 14 days after its first use, whether that's a WP or a theme park

My numbers are wonky because I tried to figure it out by subtracting and adding numbers while figuring a package onine, but it's close...ish. LOL

Thank you, yes, I was seeing the tickets as separate from each other, water parks and base tickets. So, they will all expire in 14 days. Got it. :goodvibes

Thanks! Thanks! Super helpful! :)
