Water park strategies in September?

If we opt to go to one of the water parks (which one for a 2 and 7-year old? Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?) on a Monday in September (not Labor Day) will we need a strategy to avoid long lines, or will the crowds be lower that time of year?

Any strategy suggestions?

Get there early to get as much in as possible in case the daily afternoon storms come through.

We preferred the kids areas at Blizzard Beach over those at Typhoon Lagoon.

I agree with Blizzard Beach. Check out the Ski Patrol area on line for your 7 year old. The little one can also do some things in there. Tyke's Peak is aimed at toddlers, but they have a "must be shorter then" height limit that your older child is probably taller then. They'll probably let the older child play with the younger one, as long as they're not to rowdy, but the older one will enjoy Ski Patrol. Both kids can do the family raft ride and the lazy river, and the older one can do some of the bigger slides as well. The wave pool at BB is also much tamer then the one at Typhoon Lagoon.

No strategies needed.
Avoid the Weekends, Monday is a good choice
Get there early in case a storm rolls in the afternoon (likely)
Have fun :thumbsup2

September is a low crowd time in general for WDW so you should be good no matter what day you go. (Although, I agree that you should avoid weekends if you can.)

Try to do the water slides, etc. as soon as you get there and do any relaxing swimming after. Little to no lines at all that way.

We got to TL at opening on a Friday in late September. It did fill up around 1pm or so, but the lines weren't bad. It would have been difficult for someone to find a chair or space on the beach if they had come in that time. The fact that it was a Friday may have played a part as well.
