Water park - slides as a single rider?

This question has just come up elsewhere and I was wondering if maybe someone here had some insights into this?

I'm going to WDW on my own. My tickets include the water parks. Since TL will be closed for refurb when I'm going, I'll have to stick to BB. I was *really* looking forward to TL, so that put a damper on my plans already. Now, it has just come up that as a single person, I won't be able to either ride the 2-people slides or the 4-people raft because you always have to show up with the exact number of people in your party.

First off, that would mean that a party of 2 or 3 can't ride the raft because they are missing people in your party. That makes no season to me. Second, I can't imagine that there's not a way for Disney to group single riders together to go down a 2-person slide? I do get you won't be able to go down on one of those 1-person tire floaties, the slides are not made for those type of things. But if they won't group people together, that would basically mean that even if you're there with a party, but you're the only one wanting to go, you can't because they won't group you? That just doesn't sound right to me at all.

When we were at the water parks in May/June, they were not letting smaller parties ride the family rides by themselves. They made the smaller parties wait to the side until they could be matched up with another smaller party. They did get to ride, but they had to wait a while longer than the guests who had enough riders in their party.

That applies to Teamboat Springs and Gangplank Falls, one ride in each Park.

Single riders may ride any slide at TL or BB.

That's what I thought and read. Somebody mentioned though they were turned away as a single ride on a slide? It just doesn't sound right.

Are you refering to the rafts like Teamboat Springs? I guess that makes sense, as the raft has a 4 person mininum seating. At least you got to ride, even if you had to wait. It just really terrified me not to be able to ride at all! I wouldn't mind waiting if I got to ride, but not being able to ride at all?

You will be able to ride :) when we went on teamboat springs, our part of 4 got matched with a party of two guys, no big deal. DS was also able to go single rider on the raft rides I didn't want to try :) hope this helps!

I went to BB a few years ago by myself. On a few slides, I was paired up with other parties. It was fun to meet other people and to goof off with their kids. I did have to wait a few minutes a couple times, but nothing horrible.
