I'm not sure if this is posted in the right place, if not please move. We will be going to BB and TL this summer for the first time. DD loves waterslide but is a weak swimmer. she will be 6. Do they offer life jackets and is there a charge for them? how strict are they in the under 48" area? DD is tall and will probably be about 50 or 51 inches when we travel but I know she will want to play in the kids area. Do they allow parents to catch kids or help them at the bottom of the slides?

they have free life jackets for use just like at the resort pools. i don't know about the 'kiddie' slides but i'm pretty sure they won't let you stand at the bottom of the regular slides.

They measured my DS in the kiddie area at BB when he wanted to go down the slide. He was slightly too tall and the CM let him go down anyway. He then hurt himself slightly on the slide because he was too tall. We learned our lesson. If there is a height requirement or restriction, it's there for a reason.

The life jackets they provide are very good. Can she doggie paddle? If so, she should be fine at the end of the slides. My DS started on slides at BB before he was a super strong swiimer. They won't let you catch her at the end. The slide exits are pretty quick and it's not safe for someone to be standing at the exit. They need people out of the slide exit areas fairly quickly.
