Water park planning

We haven’t decided on which water park we’ll go to, but we’re planning to do one at the end of this month, as we have 3-day passes that include a “fun and more” option through DH’s work conference.

I have never been to the water parks. Can we bring in water bottles with us like we do to the theme parks? Are water shoes a necessity? If we don’t get there right at opening, will it be impossible to get on the slides? We’ll be doing EMH at MK the night before until 1 am, so I anticipate a slow-moving morning.

We were there over spring break and got there later. It was pretty busy but not unbearable. You can bring in food like at the parks. We prefer Blizzard Beach to Typhoon Lagoon only because the wave pool at TL has that one really big wave and DS5 can't really enjoy the pool as much. We don't do the slides bc my boys weren't tall enough. Also I have motion sickness.

Love Disney Water Parks, our favorite is Typhoon Lagoon, but avoid the wave pool is too scary for us. Water shoes are a must for me, all of the walking surfaces are rough even inside the pools and if you are planning on hitting all the slides there is a lot of walking. Best time we had a TL had been after riding a thundestorm for 1 1/2 hour the park pretty much cleared of people and after the rain they reopened all the slides. Also the last 2 hours before closing the crowd thins a bit so lines get shorter or no lines at all.
