Water Park in the Winter

I know that sometimes during the winter they don't even open the water park. Does anyone know at what temperature they open the water park?

Pretty sure if it falls below 60 they close the water parks

Unless it is very chilly, Disney keeps at least one of the Water Parks and the resort pools open all year long.

The water is heated in most pools.

If it is sunny with the temperatures near 60 degrees or above with little or no wind,
guests can be found swimming at the resorts and water parks.

No need to buy the WP tickets in advance, as you can add them ("Park Hopper Plus/Water Parks Fun and more") to your tickets after you arrive at no extra charge over buying them in advance.
(even on the day that you do decide to go swimming.)

You can wait to see if the weather suits you for swimming.

Yes, from what I've heard from CMs, 60 is about the cutoff for the water parks being open.

Listen, I'm about as big of a WDW water park fan as you'll find here on the board. We go to each one multiple times during a summer trip. But unless the water is heated to hot tub warmth, no way am I going in if it's 65 degrees outside...

Haha, we are going this week and next, with temps in the 60s. Coming from Wisconsin, this weather is perfect for us! We went to opening day at our local water parks, it was 69 degrees with no heated water or hot tubs. Bring it on.

We'll be there in January with one wp day tentatively planned. The price is included as a perk with our tickets. If they are open I hope to use long sleeve water shirts/rash guards (not neoprene scuba shirts) to make it manageable. But if that fails chances are we hit the hot tub...
